Day Camps are a great activity for the beginner and/or more experienced rider, each camper is taught as an individual depending on their ability and are perfect for:

Day Camps and clinics are offered throughout the year. They cover the basic care of horses, feeding, shoeing, veterinary care, care of equipment, and riding skills.

Hartman Farms is proud to be affiliated with the local Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and various park programs including Springfield. We strive to excel in our programs and hope you will visit and see for yourself that our staff and facility are the quality you deserve for your equine education.
Youth Camps:
The youth camps are an ideal summer activity for your young horse enthusiasts.
The camps are structured and well supervised while providing a wealth of information on horse care and riding skills.
All levels of ability from the total novice to the experienced horse owner will enjoy and benefit from this program.
Working with an equine veterinarian, a farrier, and demonstrations by professional trainers are included along with 2 sessions in the saddle each day. Games on horseback and horse related craft projects are definite highlights for campers.
Early summer camps will cover all areas of the breeding program. Working with the vet you will have the opportunity to see on ultra sound 13 & 28 day old babies and see the heart beat.
Parental approval for information covered may be required for young campers. Call for current schedule, reservations, and deposits required.
Lessons:
Hartman’s riding lesson program combines great instruction with the fundamentals of horseback riding in a comfortable, safe and fun environment. The lesson horses are retired show horses that are highly trained and have been chosen specifically for their perfect temperaments.
Lessons are offered year-round, weeknights and Saturday mornings. The indoor arena is insulated for comfort for the summer and winter.
Hartman Farms also offer Horse Camps for children. The students learn grooming, saddling, feeding and other general health care along with the riding lessons in an all-day format.
